Mitchel has maintained private practices in both New York City and Montclair, NJ, since 1999, with a focus on geriatrics and hospice care, including home visits for homebound patients. He is currently a faculty member at the Eastern School in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. Mitchel teaches courses in Traditional Chinese Medical Theory, Acupuncture Techniques, and Chinese Herbology, and supervises in the intern clinics of both schools.
